Daly Named BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
STORRS- UConn defender Riley Daly was named BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday afternoon.
Daly, the preseason conference Defensive Player of the Year, earns the award for the second time in 2025. The senior from Ipswich, Mass. had five draw controls, three ground balls, and caused two turnovers in the UConn win over Manhattan on Saturday. Daly and the Husky defense held the Jaspers to only two goals on the afternoon.
Daly leads UConn with 23 draw controls and ranks second in caused turnovers (6) and ground balls (10).
The 23rd ranked Huskies return to action for their first road game of the season against #24 Harvard on Wednesday night at 6pm.
