No. 10 Huskies set for Weekend Series against Holy Cross
STORRS, Conn. – The No. 10 ranked UConn women's ice hockey team is set for a home-and-home series against the Holy Cross Crusaders starting on Friday, November 1 at the Toscano Family Ice Forum.
UConn (4-4) is currently unbeaten in Hockey East play with a 3-0 record. The Huskies have been led by a pair of forwards in senior Jada Habisch (Buffalo, Minn.) and freshman Claire Murdoch (Toronto, Ontario) who both have six points this season. Senior defender Ava Rinker (Elverson, Pa.) has led the Huskies blue line, recording six assists this season.
Scouting the Crusaders:
Holy Cross (4-3-1) is coming off a 4-2 loss at Northeastern, putting them at 1-2-1 in Hockey East. The Crusaders are coached by Katie Lachapelle in her sixth season. Holy Cross is led by a pair of sophomore forwards in Emily Crovo and Reghan Chadwick with six points apiece. UConn swept the Crusaders last season, defeating Holy Cross in the Hockey East quarterfinal, 4-2. The Huskies lead the all-time series 17-3.
Puck drop is set for 6:00pm on Friday in Storrs and 2:00pm in Worcester, Mass. The games can be streamed on ESPN+.
