No. 6 Huskies to Host Seton Hall in Gampel Sunday
STORRS, Conn. – The sixth-ranked UConn women's basketball team returns to a sold-out Gampel Pavilion for the first time since Dec. 3 to host Seton Hall (13-4, 5-1) at 1 p.m. The game will air on SNY and the UConn Sports Network from Learfield (FOX Sports 97-9).
Sunday is UConn's throwback game. In honor of throwback pricing all Coca-Cola, Diet Coke and Coke Zero fountain drinks and bottles will be $1 at concession stats, while supplies last. The Huskies will wear throwback uniforms.
UConn beat St. John's, 71-45, on Wednesday in Carnesecca Arena. Graduate student Azzi Fudd led the Huskies with 13 points. After missing two games with a knee sprain, redshirt senior Paige Bueckers returned and had 12 points and five rebounds. The Huskies scored 38 points in the paint and had 27 bench points.
The Huskies are 59-10 all-time vs. the Pirates and have UConn has won the last 39 games between the teams.
Seton Hall beat Marquette, 58-52, on Wednesday. This season, Faith Masonius leads the Pirates with 17.4 points per game. Head coach Anthony Bozzella is in his 12th season at Seton Hall.
UConn is back in Gampel next Wednesday to host Villanova. Fewer than 200 tickets remain HERE.
