No. 5 Huskies Beat Seton Hall
SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – Five Huskies scored in double digits as the No. 5 UConn women's basketball team (25-3, 15-0) remained perfect in conference play with a 91-49 win at Seton Hall (18-8, 10-5) Wednesday evening in Walsh Gymnasium.
Redshirt senior Paige Bueckers led UConn with 23 points, nine rebounds and five assists.
Redshirt senior Aubrey Griffin was impactful off the bench, notching 15 points on 5-5 shooting and five rebounds in 18 minutes. Both of Griffin's parents were student-athletes at Seton Hall.
The Huskies had a sluggish start to the game but ended up shooting 66.7% in the first quarter to take a 22-15 lead.
UConn outscored Seton Hall 50-23 in the second half.
The Huskies scored 32 points off 19 Pirate turnovers.
UConn plays its third straight road game at Butler (15-14, 5-11) this Saturday at 4:30 p.m. on SNY.
