TYSONS, Va. – The UConn baseball team (20-18, 7-2 BIG EAST) grabbed its first sweep of the season with a 7-6 victory at Georgetown on Sunday afternoon at Capital One Park.

Caleb Shpur followed with an RBI single to tie the game at 3-3. After a hit by pitch reloaded the bases, Luke Broadhurst lined an RBI single to right to give UConn a 4-3 advantage.
After a Hoyas pitching change, Korey Morton lifted a sacrifice fly to right to cap the scoring.
UConn starter Stephen Quigley immediately came out of the dugout and tossed a quick 1-2-3 inning to keep the momentum for the Huskies.
Freshman Tyler Minick tacked on for UConn in the fifth with a two-out, two-run homer run to center to push the lead to 7-3.
Braden Quinn was solid out of the pen for UConn with his only mistake being a two-run home run for BIG EAST RBI leader Christian Ficca that made it a 7-6 UConn lead going to the ninth.
Brady Afthim locked down his second save of the weekend and fifth of the season by stranding the tying run at third in the ninth.
