HookC Loses First Game at Northeastern Since 1996

BROOKLINE, Mass. - The UConn baseball team (27-20) lost at Northeastern (33-13), 18-3, on Tuesday afternoon at Friedman Diamond.

The loss snapped a streak of 11-straight wins at Northeastern for the Huskies, dating back to their last loss in 1996. 

The Boston Huskies clubbed eight home runs in the game including Tyler MacGregor hitting three home runs. 

Bryan Padlla hit the lone home run for the Huskies in the second inning. 

Paul Tammaro and Luke Broadhurst added RBI singles for the Huskies. 

Nine UConn pitchers threw with freshmen Sean Finn and Tommy Tuner combining to throw a scoreless seventh inning.

Next up, the Huskies resume BIG EAST play against Creighton in the final home series of the year.
