HookC Faces Boston College on Tuesday

BRIGHTON, MA - The UConn baseball team (17-17) play its final midweek road game of the year with a Tuesday, April 15 contest against the Boston College Eagles (17-18) at the Harrington Athletics Village at 4 p.m. The game can be heard on MIXLR.

UConn is back to .500 for the first time since Opening Day and riding a four-game win streak after a BIG EAST series sweep against Georgetown.

The Huskies are looking to end a three-game losing streak to Boston College including an 18-6 loss to the Eagles earlier this year at Elliot Ballpark. Boston College hit five home runs in the contest.

UConn still leads the all-time series 71-59 with the first meeting of the series dating back to 1909.

The Eagles are coming off a series win at home against Notre Dame. Josiah Ragsdale paces the offense with a .328 batting average 41 hits and 33 runs scored. Kyle Wolff leads the team with five home runs.

Tyler MInick leads the Huskies with a .339 AVG with 10 home runs and 35 runs batted in. Ryan Daniels (.324) and Rob Rispoli (.301) are the two other Huskies hitting above .300 with regular playing time this year.

After a stellar pitching weekend against the Hoyas, the team ERA is at a season-low 6.20. The Huskies had three starters work past the fifth inning in the same weekend for the first time this season with Oliver Pudvar (6.0), Tommy Ellisen (5.2) and Charlie West (6.0) helping the Huskies secure the series sweep.

Offensively, the Huskies tied for the second most extra base hits in a weekend with nine, posting five doubles, one triple and three home runs.
