HookC Loses on the road at Boston College, 8-2

BRIGHTON, Mass. - The UConn baseball team (17-18) lost a midweek matchup against Boston College, 8-2, on Wednesday afternoon at the Harrington Athletics Village.

The Huskies got off to a good start in the first inning with a two-run home run off the bat of Luke Broadhurst, his eighth home run of the season to tie for the team lead.

That would be the only offense on the day for UConn as the Huskies couldn't capitalize on a few opportunities.

Boston College responded with eight unanswered runs.

LHP Kieran Finnegan was strong out of the bullpen with a career-high 3.0 innings of work.

Next up, the Huskies kick off a road BIG EAST series at first place Georgetown on Friday, April 19 at 6 pm at Capital One Park in Tysons, Va.
