Track & Field Heads to Boston for Battle in Beantown

STORRS, Conn.- UConn track & field continues its indoor season Saturday, returning to Boston to compete in the Battle in Beantown hosted by Boston University.  The Huskies kicked off 2025 last weekend at the Suffolk Relays. 

Overall, UConn won six events and set four personal bests in their first action of the new year. Mahamed Sharif (1000m), Anna Connors (500m), Travis Roux (weight throw,) Garrett McHeard (shotput), Marc Morrison (long jump), and Natalia Surdej (weight throw) all took the top spot for the Huskies in their respective events. 

This weekend, UConn will compete against BU, Harvard, Northeastern, UMass Amherst, and UMass Lowell at the Boston University Track & Tennis Center.
