Track & Field Announces 2023-24 Indoor and Outdoor Schedule
STORRS, Conn. - The reigning BIG EAST champions, the University of Connecticut men's and women's track & field teams, get prepared to take on the 2023-24 indoor and outdoor season.
Both programs will begin the indoor season with the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener on Dec. 2 hosted by Boston University in Boston. Then, the Huskies will host the UConn home meet on December 7-8 in the newly renovated Hugh S. Greer Field House.
After the hiatus, the Huskies will pick back up at the Suffolk University Invite on Jan. 13 in the New Balance Facility in Boston. There will be four total meets in the month of January along with a split squad breakdown on Jan. 26-27 at the BU Terrier Classic and the Dr. Sanders Invite at Columbia University.
The Huskies will then be splitting squads into four as they compete at the Valentine Invite, the BC Invitational, the Yale Invite, and the Tyson Invite on Feb. 9-10. After the two additional meets in February at the Terrier DMR Challenge in Boston and the Alex Wilson Invitational at Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind., the BIG EAST Championships will be set for Feb. 23-24.
The indoor postseason then included the Last Chance meet at BU on Feb. 25, the ECAC/IC4A on March 1-3 at BU, and the NCAA Championships on March 8-9.
The outdoor schedule will get underway on March 15-16 at the UCF Black and Gold Invitational. The end of March is highlighted with the first outdoor home meet at the UConn Dog Fight on March 30.
The second home meet is slated for April 12-13 at the UConn Northeast Challenge with additional meets at Princeton and Providence. Three more invitational outings will take place before the BIG EAST Championships on May 9-11 in Philadelphia.
