Travis Roux Awarded BIG EAST Men's Field Athlete of the Week
STORRS, Conn. - The BIG EAST Conference announced Wednesday junior thrower Travis Roux as BIG EAST Men's Field Athlete of the Week.
After a strong showing at the UConn Dog Fight, Roux broke his personal best in the hammer throw last Saturday with a mark of 60.46m. That mark places him eighth all-time in UConn program history, along with the second-best mark in the conference and 80th best in the nation.
Roux next competes on Friday, April 5 in Tampa, Fla., at the South Florida Invitational.
