Huskies Share Points at St. John's

QUEENS, N.Y. – The UConn men's soccer team settled for a 1-1 draw with the St. John's Red Storm on Saturday afternoon at Belson Stadium. The Huskies move to 3-2-2 in BIG EAST play and 8-3-5 overall.

Senior forward Scott Testori (Madison, Conn.) opened the scoring for the Huskies in the 6th minute, giving UConn an early lead. Testori got on the end of a low driven cross across the face of goal from junior midfielder Charlie Holmes (Seattle, Wash.) and Testori was there to bury his fourth goal of the season.

UConn went into the half leading 1-0 as they dominated the first 45 minutes in possession, as UConn's goalkeeper Max Kerkvliet (Houston, TX) was not tested in the first frame. Kerkvliet finished with three saves in the game.

St. John's found an equalizer in the 77th minute off the head of Antonio Biggs, knotting the game at one. UConn continued to push for a game winner but could not break the deadlock.
