No. 24 Huskies Ready for Matchup with No. 15 Seton Hall

STORRS, Conn. – The No. 24 ranked UConn men's soccer team (6-0-2) welcomes the No. 15 ranked Seton Hall Pirates to Joseph J. Morrone Stadium on Saturday, September 28. Kickoff is set for 7:00pm. Tickets are available HERE.

UConn is coming off a scoreless draw against Fairfield on Tuesday, keeping the Huskies unbeaten through eight matches this season. The last time Morrone Stadium saw a top 25 clash, was back in 2014 (Aug. 29 vs. #17 Coastal Carolina). 

The Huskies offense has led the way so far this season ranking 32nd in the country in scoring offense (2.13) and 15th in goal differential (11). UConn's point leaders Sabri Hanni and Eli Conway have nine point a piece this season. 

Redshirt-freshman goalkeeper Max Kerkvliet has had a strong start to his career in between the posts. Kervliet ranks 11th in the country in save percentage (0.824) and 24th in shutouts (3). 

Seton Hall (7-1) is coming off a 2-0 win over Lehigh on Tuesday. The Pirates lone loss this season came a week ago in their BIG EAST opener at Providence. Seton Hall has been in the top 25 for five straight weeks, recently as high as No. 8 last week. The Pirates are coached by Andreas Lindberg who is in his seventh season at the helm. Seton Hall won last year's matchup in South Orange, 4-2. The Pirates lead the all-time series 16-15-4.
