Jayden Hibbert earns invite to 2023 MLS College Showcase
NEW YORK – UConn men's soccer standout sophomore goalkeeper Jayden Hibbert has been invited to the 2023 adidas Major League Soccer (MLS) College Showcase, the league announced on Tuesday afternoon. Hibbert is one of 44 college players invited to participate in the showcase from December 6-9, in Phoenix, Arizona.
The four-day event will give technical staffs from every MLS club an opportunity to scout top collegiate prospects in the nation ahead of the 2024 MLS SuperDraft on December 19 and feature an expanded player pool.
Hibbert, a native of Teaneck, New Jersey has played a total of 20 matches in his two seasons at UConn. This season, he served as the Huskies starting goalkeeper making 41 saves while holding a 0.68 save percentage in his 14 games played. Hibbert earned BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week two times this season and was named to honor roll once.
The eligible player list for the 2024 MLS SuperDraft will be announced at a later date following the MLS College Showcase.
