MSOC Heads to Vermont

STORRS, Conn. – The UConn men's soccer team matches up with the Vermont Catamounts on Tuesday, October 8. Kickoff is set for 6:00pm and will be streamed on ESPN+.

UConn is coming off a 3-0 win at Villanova last Friday. The Huskies remain undefeated this season sitting at 7-0-3 and in first place in the East Division of the BIG EAST. The last time the Huskies went unbeaten through their first ten games of the season was back in 2012. 

Eli Conway and Sabri Hanni both lead the Huskies with ten points each this season. Max Kerkvliet has been stout in goal this season, ranking second in the nation in save percentage (0.857). The Houston, Texas native has had three consecutive games with a clean sheet. 

Vermont (5-1-4) is coming off a 4-1 win at Albany on Saturday. The Catamounts are coached by Rob Dow who is in his eighth season. Vermont is led by junior forward Maximilian Kissel who leads the team in points this season with 14. These two programs met a season ago in Storrs, as Vermont came out on top, 2-0. The all-time series is knotted up 2-2.
