STORRS, Conn. – The UConn men's soccer team (3-2) open their BIG EAST slate on Friday night, as they welcome the St. John's Red Storm (4-1-1) to Morrone Stadium. The match will be streamed on the BIG EAST Digital Network. Tickets are available HERE.
UConn is coming off a 3-0 win over Manhattan earlier this week. The Huskies have had a balanced offensive attack this season with six players getting on the scoresheet. Freshman forward Lucas Almeida leads the Huskies with three goals this season. UConn has shown depth at the forward position this year, with three other strikers tallying more than one goal so far in the 2023 campaign.
St. John's is coming into Friday's match winners in two of their last three games. This will be the 37th all-time meeting between the Johnnies and the Huskies. The last two times these teams have met resulted in draws.
Kickoff is set for 7:00pm at Morrone Stadium.
