Huskies Recognized on Hockey East Post Season Awards

STORRS, Conn. -  With the season in the rearview mirror, the UConn men's hockey recognition hasn't stopped as post season awards continue to filter in. In one of the most successful seasons in UConn Hockey history, the teams' efforts have been highlighted by Hockey East postseason awards.

The Huskies wrapped up the Hockey East season with a 12-8-4 record. UConn then took down no.7 Providence in the Hockey East Quarterfinals and no.8 Boston University in the Hockey East Semi-Finals before falling to no.4 Maine in the Hockey East Championship at the TD Garden in Boston.

The Huskies were well represented in postseason awards. Freshman Callum Tung kicked things off with a selection to the Hockey East All-Rookie team while sophomore Jake Richard was named a third team all-star. Rounding out the all-star selections were sophomore Joey Muldowney and graduate student Hudson Schandor who were named second team All-Stars.

The awards did not stop there as graduate student Hudson Schandor was named Hockey East Best Defensive Forward and awarded the Len Ceglarski Individual Sportsmanship Award.
