» With a quick turnaround following their Tuesday game vs. Boston University, the

UConn Huskies will turn their attention to a weekend series vs. Northeastern University.

» The Huskies are currently sitting one point ahead of Providence for 4th place while

Northeastern sits in 9th place, just 7 points behind 5th.

» This will be the first matchup this season between the two teams. These two teams

faced each other in the beginning of March last season which resulted in 13 goals scored

and a weekend split.

» While this team doesn't feature a true senior, the Huskies will recognize graduate Stu-

dents Hugh Larkin, Nick Carabin, Hudson Schandor and John Spetz. These four have

made a tremendous impact on the program and have played huge roles on this team.

» Huskies Power Play: Comparing the Huskies Power Play units from last season to this

season the Huskies have a +8 PPG differential and a +9.5% Power Play Percentage differential. The Huskies are just one of 7 teams to have surpassed their total PPG numbers

from last season.

» Following a Power play goal vs. Boston University Jake Richard has extended his point

streak to 7 games.

» Joey Muldowney has been on a hot streak registering a point in 13 of the last 15 games

and has registered a point in 20 of the teams 30 games.

» Joey Muldowney currently is tied with Tage Thompson for most goals in a season in the

Hockey East Era for UConn.

» Record Breakers: Hudson Schandor and John Spetz both made UConn history over the

weekend. Schandor surpassed Jachym Kondelik, becoming the leader for total points

in the Hockey East era, while John Spetz surpassed Joe Masonius for most points by a

defenseman in the Hockey East era.

» Short Handed Strengths: The Huskies are currently lead the country with 9 short handed

goals scored.

» Huskies in the NHL: Marc Gatcomb has become the 9th Husky to reach the pros, having most recently been called up by the New York Islanders. Gatcomb joins, Chase

Bradley, Ruslan Iskhakov, Yan Kuznetsov, Todd Krygier, Cole Schneider, Max Letunov,

Adam Huska, and Tage Thompson as former Huskies to make it to the league.
