» The Huskies are back on the ice as they open the Kiwk Trip Holiday Face Off with a
matchup against Alaska Fairbanks. This will be the Huskies first game since December
4.
» The Huskies closed the first half of the season strong, taking 4 of 6 points in a season
series vs. #3 Boston College, and splitting a weekend series against Top 15 ranked
UMass Lowell.
» This is the first time the Huskies have played in the Holiday Face Off Tournamnet, and
will be the first time the Huskies have matchuped against Alaska Fairbanks.
» Junior Ryan Tattle has had an impressive start to the season and an impressive first hald.

bodies multiple times to stop a puck. John Spetz, Tom Messineo, Viking Gustafsson
Nyberg and Nick Carabin have combined for 75 blocked shots.
» Alaska Fairbanks currently sits at 5-8-3 overall and is also playing in their first Holiday
Face Off tournament. The Nanooks wrapped up the first half of the season with a series
split against Augustana.
» The Huskies have received a point from 23 total skaters. Of the 20, 11 are new members
of the Ice Bus.
» Despite adding 14 new faces, in that group comes 4 transfers from NCAA D1 schools.
Hugh Larkin joins UConn from Western Michigan, Nick Carabin joins the Huskies from
Princeton, Tyler Muszelik from New Hampshire, and Viking Gustafsson Nyberg comes
from Northern Michigan.
» Huskies in the NHL: Chhase Bradley has become the 8th Husky to reach the pros, hav-
ing most recently been called up by the Colorado Avalanche. He joins, Rulsan Iskha-
kov, Yan Kuznetsov, Todd Krygier, Cole Schneider, Max Letunov, Adam Huska, and
Tage Thompson as former Huskies to make it to the league.

- Huskies Fall in Game 2, Split Weekend Series vs. #15 UMass LowellLOWELL, Mass. – The UConn men's hockey team dropped game two of the two game series vs. UMass Lowell Saturday evening by a final of 1-0. UMass Lowell found the back of the net late in the first period, and that would prove to be enough to secure the victory and split the weekend series.
