Callum Tung Signs Deal Pro Deal with New York Rangers
STORRS, Conn. - Freshman goaltender Callum Tung (Port Moody, British Columbia) of the UConn men's hockey team has signed a three-year entry level contract with the National Hockey League's (NHL) New York Rangers.
In his lone season with the Huskies, Tung finished the season with a 10-4-1 overall record with a .933 save and a 2.01 GAA. Tung carried the Huskies through the postseason, posting a 2-1 overall record with wins over Boston University and Quinnipiac.
Tung will look to be the 10 UConn men's hockey player to reach the NHL, and the eighth under head coach Mike Cavanaugh.
