»The UConn Huskies wrap up the Hockey East Regular Season with one game vs. the Vermont Catamounts.

» Playoff seeding up for grabs. With the Huskies and Catamounts currently tied for 8th place, Home ice for the first round of the playoffs is up for grabs. If the Huskies win, they will be hosting the opening playoff game. If UConn loses, they will be on the road and their opponent will be determined following Saturday's results.

» The magic number lately for the Huskies is two. When scoring 2 goals or fewer against Hockey East opponents UConn and UMass lead Hockey east with 5 total wins.

» The Huskies are coming off a 1-1 weekend against Northeastern University. The Huskies took game one Friday evening in Boston before dropping game two at home.

» Matthew Wood is coming off one of his best weekends in a UConn uniform. The sophomore scored a Hat trick to help propel the Huskies to victory over Northeastern Friday evening. Ryan Tattle assisted on all three goals scored by Wood.

» This will be the third matchup between the two schools. The last time these two teams faced was in November, when the weekend series was split. That weekend saw a combined 12 goals.
» Sophomore class finding their stride. The Huskies 2nd year skaters have taken the leap as Jake Percival, Ryan Tattle, have seen an uptick in goals, while Tristan Fraser, Tabor Heaslip, and defenseman Tom Messineo continue to make an impact by setting up their teammates for goals.

» Huskies in the NHL: Yan Kuznetsov became the 6th Husky to reach the pros, having most recently been called up by the Calgary Flames. Kuznetsov joins, Todd Krygier, Cole Schneider, Max Letunov, Adam Huska, and Tage Thompson as former Huskies to make it to the league.
