» The Huskies are back in action this weekend as they continue on a seven game homestand. The Huskies welcome Massachusetts to the Toscano Family Ice Forum on Friday
at 4pm and will follow that game with a matchup against UMass Lowell at the XL
Center in Hartford on Feb. 8.
» The Huskies are coming a 0-1-1 weekend against no.7 Providence. The Huskies battled
back on the road to tie the game at three before eventually winning the eight round
shootout, courtesy of Ethan Whitcomb. The Huskies fell to the Friars in game two after
two late empty net goals sealed the 6-3 win for Providence.
» This will be the third matchup between the Huskies and Minutemen this season. In
October game one between the teams went into a shootout with Massachusetts winning
in eight rounds, while game two resulted in a 3-2 UConn victory.
» Ryan Tattle has stayed hot, scoring two goals against Providence to mount a comeback
to help the Huskies force overtime and eventually a shootout. The Junior now has 14

shootout to help the Huskies receive the extra point in Hockey East Standings.

weekend. Schandor surpassed Jachym Kondelik, becoming the leader for total points
in the Hockey East era, while John Spetz surpassed Joe Masonius for most points by a
defenseman in the Hockey East era.
» Hudson Schandor has been on a tear in the second half, registering a point in 10 of 12
games for the Huskies.
» Short Handed Strengths: The Huskies are currently lead the country with 8 short handed

ing another but Joey Muldowney's shot rang off the post.
» Huskies in the NHL: Marc Gatcomb has become the 9th Husky to reach the pros, having most recently been called up by the New York Islanders. Gatcomb joins, Chase
Bradley, Ruslan Iskhakov, Yan Kuznetsov, Todd Krygier, Cole Schneider, Max Letunov,
