Huskies Earn New England Honors

STORRS, Conn. - Graduate Student Hudson Schandor and sophomore Joey Muldowney named New England Division I All-Stars, while head coach Mike Cavanaugh has been named Coach of the Year, the New England Hockey Writers Association announced on Wednesday.

In addition to being selected All-Stars, both Hudson Schandor and Joey Muldowney took home major awards. Schandor was selected as the Best Defensive Forward while Joey Muldowney took home Most Improved Player.

Both Schandor and Muldowney inked their names in UConn Hockey history setting single season records during a historic 24-25 season. Muldowney broke the program record for most goals in a single season (29) in the Hockey East Era, while Hudson Schandor broke the program record for most points in a career (126) in the Division I and Hockey East Era while also breaking the program record for assists in a single season (31) in the Hockey East era.
