UConn Golf Announces 2024-25 Schedule

STORRS, Conn. – UConn head men's golf coach Dave Pezzino announced the schedule for the 2024-25 season.  The season gets underway in mid-September and the fall portion of the schedule will feature five tournaments.  The Huskies return in early February and play in six tournaments before starting the post season in the BIG EAST Championship in late April.

"Every year, our standard in place is to play a national schedule against the best players; anyone, anywhere, anytime.  Our job is to challenge our student-athletes to see how good their "good" is and I think this schedule most certainly does that."

The Huskies, who won three tournaments last season, will kick-off their year on September 16-17 with an appearance at The Doc Gilmer hosted by St. John's at the Bethpage State Park red course.

The 15th annual UConn Invitational at GreatHorse in Hampden, Ma. is scheduled for September 29 through October 1.  The Huskies are the defending champions, having won the event for five times in its existence.

The Huskies round out the fall with trips to the Elon Phoenix Invitational at the Alamance Country Club in Burling, N.C. on October 14 and 15, the Xavier Invitational at the Maketewah Country Club in Cincinnati, Ohio and out to the Ka'anapali Collegiate Invitational in Maui, Hawaii.

The spring semester will get underway with the BIG EAST Match-Play event at Bear Lakes Country Club in West Palm Beach, Fla.  The Huskies have won the event in the all three of the previous seasons.

The Dorado Beach Collegiate is up next on February 23-25, held at the TPC Dorado Beach in Dorado, Puerto Rico.  The Huskies will head to North Myrtle Beach, S.C. to defend their Surf Club Invitational title from last season on March 10-11.

The Huskies are back to North Carolina for the ECU Intercollegiate at the Brook Valley Country Club on March 17-18 and then will play at the Golfweek Invitational at the True Blue Golf Club in Pawley's Island, S.C. on March 31 to April 2.

The final tune-up before the postseason will take place at Penn State for The Rutherford Invitational on the Penn State Blue Course on April 12-13.

The postseason kicks-off with the BIG EAST Championship on April 26-28 at the Callawassie Island Golf Club in Okatie, S.C.  The NCAA Regional is scheduled for May 12-14 with the 2025 NCAA Championship tournament scheduled for May 23-28 at the Omni La Costa Champions Course in Carlsbad, Calif.
