Connor Goode Tabbed BIG EAST Co-Golfer of the Week

STORRS, Conn. - UConn sophomore Connor Goode (Glastonbury, Conn.) earns the BIG EAST Co-Golfer of the Week honor after capturing the individual title while helping lead the Huskies to the team title at the UConn Invitational.  Goode shares this week's award with Butler's Damon Dickey who won the individual title at the Tom Tontimonia Invite.

Goode grabbed the individual trophy the Husky's home tournament at GreatHorse carding a 1-under 215 (71-73-71). In gaining his first win as a collegian, he was the only player in the 78-player field to finish under par. Goode also helped lift the Huskies to the team title along with four other players who finished in the top-18. UConn won by 11 strokes over runner-up Siena. Goode led the tournament with 13 birdies and his previous best finish was a tie for 27th in last year's UConn Invitational.

The tourney title is UConn's 17th under 17-year head coach Dave Pezzino and the first since last season's win in BIG EAST Match Play. It is UConn's fifth crown in the UConn Invitational's 14-year history.
