Chase Lundt Named to 2025 Reese's Senior Bowl Watch List
STORRS, Conn. - UConn senior offensive tackle Chase Lundt (Arlington, TX) was named to the 2025 Reese's Senior Bowl Watch List announced on Wednesday morning. The players will be selected after the season to participate in the annoual all-star game which will take place on February 1, 2025 in Mobile, Alabama.
Lundt, who has also been named to the watch list for the 2025 East-West Shrine Bowl, returns as the team's starting right tackle and has been in that spot for 35 games during his UConn career. In the last twos seasons under offensive line coach and new offensive coordinator Gordon Sammis, he has helped anchor a unit that led the Huskies to a final ranking of 33rd in the nation in rushing offense in 2022, averaging 191.0 yards per game. In the passing game, the UConn offensive line was 29th in the NCAA in sacks allowed, allowing just 1.38 per game in 2022 and followed that up last season by improving to ninth in the country allowing just 12 sacks total (1.00 pg) on the season.
If selected to play in the Senior Bowl, Lundt would become the 18th player in UConn history to take part in the prestigious annual event. Last season, UConn sent two players in offensive guard Christian Haynes and defensive end Eric Watts. Haynes went on to be a third round pick in the NFL Draft by the Seattle Seahawks and Watts signed with the New York Jets as a free agent. Both are in NFL training camps currently.
