Huskies Announce Finalized 2025 Schedule
STORRS, Conn. - The UConn football program has finalized the dates for their 2025 schedule with the season kicking-off on Saturday, August 30 at home against in-state foe Central Connecticut State. The Huskies are coming off a nine-win campaign in 2024, the program's most wins since 2007, capped by a victory in the Wasabi Fenway Bowl over North Carolina.
New season tickets are available for the six-game home schedule, starting as low $99. The Huskies finished 6-1 at home last season, the team's most home wins since a perfect 6-0 home campaign in 210. UConn scored 258 points (36.9 ppg) at The Rent last season, the most in program history at East Hartford stadium.
The Blue Devils will kick-off a six-game slate at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field in 2025. UConn last faced CCSU during the 2022 season, head coach Jim Mora's first season on the sidelines, and are 4-0 all-time against the Blue Devils. UConn has played at least one FCS opponent in each season since moving up to FBS in 2002 and is 21-2 in those games.
Following the season opener at home, the Huskies will face the first of three ACC opponents when they hit the road up to Syracuse to face the Orange on September 6. Syracuse edged in front in the all-time series, 7-6, after beating the Huskies 31-24 last fall in the JMA Wireless Dome.
The Huskies will also make a road trip to New England rival and ACC member Boston College on October 18 and then host the Duke Blue Devils at home on November 8. The Huskies last faced BC during the 2023 season, a 21-14 Eagles win in Chestnut Hill, MA. UConn's lone win in the all-time series came during Coach Mora's first season in 2022, a 13-3 win at home. UConn and Duke will face-off for the third-straight season. The Blue Devils evened the all-time series at 2-2 after winning 26-21 at home last fall.
UConn will take on the newest addition to FBS when they travel to Delaware on September 13. The Blue Hens will join Conference USA as a full member, effective July of 2025, and is the first of two matches for the Huskies against the conference this season. UConn and Delaware last met on the gridiron in 1998 in a series that dates back to 1951.
The Huskies face MAC opponents in consecutive weeks as they host Ball State on September 20 and travel to Buffalo on September 27. UConn last faced Ball State during the 2022 season and are still looking for their first win against the Cardinals. The Huskies improved to 17-5 over the Bulls after a 47-3 win at home last season. UConn will then host FIU on October 4 before their bye week. The Huskies and Panthers split their two previous meetings in 2022 and 2023, each winning on the road.
After facing BC the Huskies will head to Houston on October 25 to face the Rice Owls in the first of three games against AAC opponents. UConn is 2-0 all time against Rice and won 17-10 over the Owls at home last season.
The Huskies open a three-game homestand on November 1 playing host to the UAB Blazers of the AAC. UConn won the first-ever meeting between the two schools in 2024, a 31-23 come from behind win. The Huskies erased a 17-point second half deficit in the win, tying the program record for largest comeback.
After facing Duke the Huskies will close out their 2025 home schedule by hosting the Air Force Falcons on November 15. This will mark the first ever meeting between the two schools with a return game at Air Force scheduled for the 2026 season.
The regular season finale will take place on November 22 with a trip to Florida Atlantic of the AAC. The Huskies are 2-0 all-time against the Owls after posting a 48-14 win at home in 2024.
