BIG EAST Unveils Tip Times and TV Designations
NEW YORK – The BIG EAST conference has announced tip times and television designations for the upcoming 2024-25 men's basketball regular season. UConn will be featured prominently across FOX Sports, CBS Sports and NBC Sports, including a total of at least nine games on broadcast networks.
Also announced on Wednesday was a date change. UConn's game against Marquette at Gampel Pavilion will now be played on Wednesday, March 5 instead of the originally announced date of Tuesday, March 4.
The Huskies are featured three times on FOX Primetime Hoops, with 8 p.m. tips on Saturday nights, and another in FOX's new Friday night slot. In total Connecticut will play at least seven times on FOX broadcast this season and 10 or more times on FS1.
As part of the new BIG EAST media rights deal the Huskies will be featured in regular season action on the NBC Sports family of networks. Connecticut will play three games on Peacock and one on NBC broadcast.
UConn will also be featured on CBS Sports three times this season, with a pair of games on CBS Sports Network and another on CBS broadcast.

- SASP Announces April Husky High FivesSTORRS, Conn. - The Student Athlete Success Program (SASP) announced the Husky High Five winners for the month of April. The Husky High Five award recognizes UConn student-athletes that demonstrate outstanding academic achievement, growth, and improvement in their commitment to succeeding in the classroom, their sport, and/or in the area of service and leadership. This award recognizes and honors students who have achieved success in these areas through hard work and dedication. When nominating for the Husky High Five, recipients are selected on the criteria of demonstrating significant achievement in their coursework despite various challenges and showing growth in the areas of academics, personal development, leadership, and service.
- UConn's Castle Wins NBA Rookie of the YearNEW YORK – Former UConn men's basketball star Stephon Castle was named the NBA Rookie of the Year on Tuesday (April 29). Castle is the second Husky to earn the NBA's top rookie honor, joining 2005 winner Emeka Okafor.
- Huskies Add Mike Nardi To MBB Coaching StaffSTORRS – The UConn men's basketball team and head coach Dan Hurley have announced the addition of Mike Nardi to the coaching staff as an assistant coach. Nardi comes to Storrs after a decade on the coaching staff at his alma mater Villanova, most recently serving as the program's interim head coach after seven years as an assistant.
- UConn Announces Home-and-Home With ArizonaSTORRS – The UConn men's basketball team has announced a home-and-home series with perennial power Arizona, set to begin on Nov. 19, 2025 in Connecticut. The Huskies will return the game on Nov. 18, 2026 in Tucson.
- Huskies Land Transfer Guard Malachi SmithSTORRS – The UConn men's basketball team has further bolstered its backcourt with the addition of high-impact transfer Malachi Smith. The 6'0 lead guard and Bronx, N.Y. native has signed an aid agreement to join the Huskies for the 2025-26 campaign after spending four seasons at Dayton. He has one year of eligibility remaining.
- Huskies Ink Top Transfer Silas Demary Jr.STORRS – The UConn men's basketball team has picked up a pledge from Silas Demary Jr., with the 6-5 guard signing an aid agreement on Thursday (April 3). Demary (pronounced dem-uh-ree) Jr. joins the Huskies after two seasons at Georgia, where he was a double-figure scorer and All-Freshman team selection. He will join Connecticut for the 2025-26 season with two years of eligibility remaining.
