No. 6 UConn Faces Villanova Wednesday
STORRS, Conn. – The sixth-ranked UConn women's basketball team (17-2, 8-0 BIG EAST) hosts Villanova (10-9, 4-3) Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Gampel Pavilion. The game will air on SNY and the UConn Sports Network from Learfield (FOX Sports 97-9).
UConn will celebrate its Huskies in the Pros vs. Villanova. It's also $2 Miller Lite night, while supplies last. Please drink responsibly.

UConn had one of its most complete games of the season as UConn beat Seton Hall, 96-36, in Gampel Pavilion on Sunday. Freshman Sarah Strong had her fourth double-double of the season, leading UConn with 23 points and 11 rebounds. Redshirt senior Paige Bueckers finished with 18 points, including her 2,000th career points. She is the fastest player in UConn history to reach 2,000.
Sunday marked the return of redshirt senior Aubrey Griffin, who last played Jan. 3, 2024. Griffin had three points, four rebounds and two assists in 11 minutes.
UConn is 45-18 all-time vs. Villanova. The Huskies have won the last seven meetings between the teams.
UConn beat Villanova, 83-52, on Jan. 5. Freshman Sarah Strong led the Huskies with 21 points.
Villanova is coming off a 66-64 win over St. John's last Saturday. This season, Jasmine Bascoe leads the Wildcats with 15.1 points per game. Head coach Denise Dillon is in her fifth season at her alma mater.
