Track & Field to Compete in Crimson Elite & Scarlet and White Invite
STORRS, Conn.- UConn track & field continues their indoor season this weekend, competing in the Crimson Elite Meet, hosted by Harvard, and the Bruce Lehane Scarlet and White Invitational, hosted by Boston University.
The Huskies come into the weekend ranked #1 in the Northeast region on the men's side, and #2 on the women's side. The men's triple jump checked in at #2 in the event squad national ranking this week. The jump squad has been led by strong performances that have earned BIG EAST Men's Field Athlete of the Week recognition. Marc Morrison took home the award after his school record long jump, and Kyle Johnson received the recognition after setting a new UConn indoor record In the triple jump.
UConn also ranks top 10 in the event squad rankings in the men's heptathlon (#3), men's long jump (#6), and women's pentathlon (#5).
