Josh Mooney Named BIG EAST Men's Field Athlete of the Week
STORRS, Conn.- Josh Mooney has been named the BIG East Men's Field Athlete of the week, the conference announced on Tuesday afternoon.
The sophomore student from Stonington, Connecticut secured a fifth-place finish in the decathlon at the 97th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays, accumulating 7,401 points across the competition. Mooney's strongest event came in the javelin, where he claimed first place with a throw of 61.33m. He also secured an event win in the 110m hurdles, clocking a time of 14.40.
