Huskies set for Weekend Series against Boston College
STORRS, Conn. – The No. 14 ranked UConn women's hockey team is set for a home-and-home series this weekend against the No. 11 ranked Boston College Eagles. The series will start on Friday, November 22 at BC starting at 2:00pm. The Huskies will return home on Saturday, November 23 to close out the series. Puck drop is set for 6:00pm. UConn (8-6) is coming off a two game sweep of Merrimack last weekend. The Huskies are currently in third place in the Hockey East standings at 7-2 with 20 points. BC is currently in fourth place right behind the Huskies at 6-2 with 17 points.
UConn is led in points this season by freshman forward Claire Murdoch (Toronto, Ontario) with ten. Murdoch is also the Huskies leading goal scorer with five this season. Sophomore forward Ashley Allard (Ottawa, Ontario) has caught fire recently netting a goal and an assist in the Merrimack series. Allard has three goals and three assists so far this season.
Scouting Boston College:
Boston College (9-4) is coming off a weekend series split against Boston University last weekend. The Eagles are coached by Katie Crowley in her 18th season. BC has a potent attack with four players recording double digit points so far this season. Sophomore forward Sammy Taber leads the Eagles with 14 points.
Both games will be streamed on ESPN+.
