Huskies Hot Streak Continues, Improve to 5-0 in BIG EAST Action
ORLANDO, FL. - The UConn women's tennis team continued their hot streak against BIG EAST opponents, taking down Marquette by a final of 5-2 Saturday afternoon. With the win, the Huskies improve to 5-0 in conference action.
On a neutral site court, the Huskies were prepared for another BIG EAST battle. The day started off with the Huskies taking two of three matches in the doubles competition with Olivia Wright and Victoria Matos winning no.1 doubles, while Chloe Lomans and Isabella Asenov secured a win at no.3 doubles.
UConn used the momentum gained from doubles to secure the win in singles as the Huskies won four of the possible six singles matches. Olivia Wright, Isabel Petri-Bere, Cameron Didion and Chloe Lomans all won their matchups to clinch the 5-2 win over BIG EAST foe Marquette.
UConn will wrap up their Orlando Florida visit as they will face off against Milwaukee on Tuesday March 18 at 11am.
