WSOC Announces Class of 2029
STORRS, Conn. - The UConn women's soccer team has announced its incoming class of 2029 along with a pair of transfers for the upcoming 2025 season.
A breakdown of all 10 additions are below.
Kalina Fraser | Forward | Nesoya, Norway | Valerenga IF
Playing Experience: Played for the top Norwegian academy in Norway, Stabæk. In 2024, they were the U19 Norwegian champions, and she was the top scorer in the U19s top division in Norway in 2023. Recently joined Vålerenga, training regularly with the women's senior A team. Vålerenga are the current Norwegian women's champions
Personal: Parents are Izabela and Daron. Has one sister, Amelia and one brother, Konrad.
Why UConn: I committed to UConn because of its outstanding women's soccer program, strong academics, and the welcoming environment created by the coaching staff. I'm excited to be part of a team that values both athletic and academic excellence while feeling supported every step of the way.
Mags on Kalina: Kali is a fast, athletic and opportunistic player who can play anywhere in our attacking positions. She can be dangerous on the flank with her 1 vs 1 ability or be a threat centrally. With her knack for scoring goals, Kali is a valuable addition to our offensive lineup and we are eager to see her impact our program.
Maree-Anne Van Doesburg | Midfielder | Montreal, Quebec | CF Montreal
Playing Experience: A member of the Canadian U-17 and U15 national teams. Played in the 2024 CONCACAF Women's U-17 Championship. Currently plays for CF Montréal Academy.
Personal: Parents are Genevieve and Francois. Has one sister, Anais and one brother, Jean-Christophe.
Why UConn: I chose UConn because of the combination of its strong soccer program and academic excellence.
Mags on Maree-Anne: Marée Anne is a very composed player who will complement our game with her ability to be a playmaking central midfielder. She does the small details well and values a possession style of play. Also, a member of the u17 CONCACAF World Championship squad for Team Canada, her experience at the international level will help her as she makes the transition to the college game.
Tiana Righetti | Midfielder | Granite Springs, N.Y. | Connecticut Football Club
Playing Experience: Plays for Connecticut Football Club (CFC). Four-time All-League performer. Three-time All-Section accolades. Two-time All-State at Somers High School.
Personal: Parents are Patricia and Louis. Has one sister, Victoria.
Why UConn: I chose UConn because of its combination of academic and sports culture. When I visited UConn, I loved the atmosphere, and I instantly saw myself at UConn.
Mags on Tiana: Tiana is an athletic, attacking player who will compete in our midfield and front line. She can impact play on both sides of the ball and has the capacity of a box-to-box midfielder in the college game. In the attacking third, Tiana has the ability to get in behind and threaten goal so we are excited to see her join our squad.
Rosalina Lifrieri | Midfielder | Morristown, N.J. | STA Soccer Club
Playing Experience: Plays for STA Soccer Club. Team Captain. Earned First Team All-County and First Team All-Conference accolades for Morristown High School. Also lettered in basketball and track and field.
Personal: Parents are Adelina and Richard. Has two sisters, Angelina and Serafino.
Why UConn: I chose UConn because of the welcoming environment that will allow me to develop into the best version of myself. With an unmatched coaching staff and a strong team culture, there is no doubt that I will continue my success at the next level while creating friendships with some of the nicest people. The overall school spirit at UConn is one of a kind, and shows the amazing opportunities this school has to offer me academically as well as athletically. I cannot wait to be a UConn Husky!
Mags on Rosie: Rosie is a very technical and quick central player who has the stamina to run the midfield. Her tempo on the ball and speed of thought will allow her to be successful at our level. She complements our style of play well with her ability to defend, connect out, and make runs off the ball. We look forward to seeing her compete for us this fall.
Morgan Mooney | Defender | Seattle, Wash. | XF Academy
Playing Experience: Plays for CrossFire Premier Academy (XF Academy). Lettered three years at Bishop Blanchett High School and named to First Team All-Metro. Also lettered in basketball.
Personal: Parents are Pam and Ken. Has one brother, Mac and one sister, Maddie.
Why UConn: I knew I wanted to attend UConn because of its unwavering commitment to excellence in both academics and athletics. The strong sense of togetherness shared by students and athletes resonated deeply with me. Additionally, the coaches stood out by showing that they are invested in their players' journeys, both on and off the field. I'm excited to be part of a community that will challenge and inspire me to grow into my best self in every aspect of life.
Mags on Morgan: Morgan is an athletic defender with the size and ability to be dominant. She is good in the air and a solid 1 vs. 1 defender. Her vision and composure allow her to control and organize the backline. With her ability to play as a central defender or a full back, we are excited to grow Morgan in these positions and to see her impact as a Husky.
Ines Nourani | Defender | Boischatel, Québec| CF Montreal
Playing Experience: A member of the Canadian U-20, U-17 and U15 national teams. Played in the 2024 CONCACAF Women's U-17 Championship. Currently plays for CF Montréal Academy. Helped lead her team to 2023 regular season title and winning the Coupe de Quebec. Earned MVP honors against FC Laval.
Personal: Parents are Lynda and Amine. Has two sisters, Anissa and Sami.
Why UConn: I chose UConn not only for its strong academic reputation but also for its commitment to athletics and student-athletes. As an athlete, I wanted a school that would support both my academic and athletic ambitions, providing the right balance between rigorous coursework and high-level competition. The university's top-tier athletic facilities, experienced coaching staff, and strong sports culture made it the perfect environment for me to grow and excel. Additionally, being surrounded by like-minded individuals who share my dedication to both sports and academics motivates me to push my limits every day. In my opinion, UConn offers the ideal platform for me to develop as a student, an athlete, and a person.
Mags on Ines: Inès is a fast, aggressive defensive player who will impact our back line either as a central defender or full back. She brings a wealth of high-level experience, playing in the u17 CONCACAF World Championship with Team Canada, and most recently competing with the u20 squad. She is a tough competitor who has the ability to greatly impact our team in the years to come.
Ava Yamas | Goalkeeper | Franklin, Tenn. | IMG Academy
Playinger Experience: Plays for IMG Academy. Helped team reach 2024 National semifinals. Two-time GA Talent ID camp selection. Two-time SE Conference Champions.
Personal: Parents are Shanna and Doug. Has two brothers, James and Noah.
Why UConn: I chose UConn because of the environment, which will allow me to excel both on and off the field.
Mags on Ava: Ava is a shot stopper with a strong presence in the goal. She organizes the field in front of her and can protect the space behind the backline. In possession, she is confident playing out of the back and can play both short and long to start the attack. We are excited to see her join our goalkeeping group and compete this fall.
Brooke Brown | Midfielder | Thayne, Wyoming | IMG Academy
High School: Played for head coach Miguel Rodrigues at IMG Academy. Three-time IMG Core Value Award winner. Two-time GA Talent ID. Helped team reach 2024 National semifinals. Two-time SE Conference Champions.
Personal: Parents are Catherine and Don. Has two brothers, Brandon and Mychael.
Riley Prozzo | Defender | Southington, CT | Boston College
Freshman (Boston College): Played in four games during her lone season at Boston College. Made her collegiate debut vs. Jacksonville (8.15).
High School: Plays for Farmington Sporting Arena Football Club Coached by Mick D'Archy and Jen Prozzo… played soccer and track for Southington High School, captaining soccer … named to the All Central Connecticut Conference team three consecutive years… Personal: Parents are Jennifer Prozzo and Darren Prozzo … has one sibling Luke
Gabby Miller | Midfielder | Shamong, N.J. | Rutgers
Freshman (Rutgers): Played in eight matches her first year at Rutgers, with a season-high 23 minutes in 3-0 win over Lehigh (8/28). Made collegiate debut in season opening 1-0 win at NJIT (8/15)
High School: Gabby Miller is a two-time South Jersey Midfield Player of the Year and three-time All-State performer out of Seneca and PDA. Miller led Seneca to the 2022 and 2023 South Group 2 championship after becoming the first player at the school to receive South Jersey Midfielder of the Year honors. She totaled 55 goals and 36 assists, which is good for the all-time assists record and second-most points and goals at Seneca. With PDA South 2006 ECNL, she was a two-time All-Conference First Team selection.
In the classroom, Miller was a four-year Honor Roll student, a member of the National Honors Society, and a representative on student government.
Personal: The daughter of Nicole and Eric, and has two brothers, Zach and Matt

- UConn Football Announces Series with Miami UniversitySTORRS, Conn. – The UConn football program has entered into an agreement to play two future games against Miami University during the 2026 and 2030 seasons, announced on Wednesday. This will mark the first-ever match-ups between the two programs.
