Huskies Open Championship Season vs. Fairfield
STORRS, Conn. - The UConn women's tennis team is set to open the Championship portion of their schedule with a home match against Fairfield University. The match is set to begin at 1pm at Magic Lincer Tennis in Manchester.
The Huskies will look to build off a strong Fall semester in which they had great individual success. UConn is led by seniors Olivia Wright and Isabel Petri Bere, who will look to continue to set new heights for UConn tennis.
The Huskies and Stags are familiar with each other as they were both apart of the Quinnipiac Invitational in the fall that was hosted on the UConn campus. Fairfield currently sits at 0-2 on the season, having lost to St. Johns 1-4 and LIU 2-5 to open the season Jan. 24-25.
