No.14 Huskies Back in Action for Two Game Homestand
STORRS, Conn. - The UConn women's field hockey team is back in action for two more non-conference matchups against Temple University and Yale. The Huskies will kick off the homestand with a matchup against Temple on Friday at 1pm and face off against Yale Sunday at 1pm.
The Huskies are coming off a 1-1 weekend which featured a 4-0 win over Brown University and a 3-2 loss to no. 7 Harvard. Leading the way for the Huskies are the freshman, Juul Sauer and Sophie Perschk. In the Huskies win over Brown, Perschk notched a hat trick and in the loss to no.7 Harvard Juul scored the two Huskies goals.
Temple currently sits at 2-3 overall and is coming off an 0-2 weekend vs. UPenn and Richmond. Leading the way for temple is Halle Aschenbach and Devin Kinzel who both have three goals on the season. This will be the 21 overall meeting between the Owls and the Huskies with UConn holding a 14-5-1 overall record vs. Temple.
Yale currently sits at 3-1 overall on the season with wins over Lehigh, Drexel and Fairfield and their lone loss coming to Brown. The matchup on Sunday will be the 24 overall matchup with UConn currently undefeated at 23-0.
Both games are set to be streamed on UConn+.
