STORRS, Conn. - The UConn women's tennis team returns home for a BIG East weekend as they welcome Providence College and Butler University to Storrs. Huskies will face off against Providence Friday at 2:30pm and will welcome Butler to Storrs Sunday with the match set to begin at 11am.
The Huskies return home after a six-game road trip. UConn enters the weekend 11-2 overall and 5-0 in BIG East Action. The Huskies are coming off a 2-0 weekend in which they took down Marquette by a final of 5-2 and Milwaukee by a final of 5-1. Head Coach Glenn Marshall is looking to keep the momentum rolling as he is closing in on his 500 Career win.
With the weather looking good for the weekend, UConn will be looking to play their first home match outdoors Friday. Location for Sunday's match against Butler is TBD as the teams watch the weather. If moved, the game will be played at the Magic Lincer Tennis Club in Manchester CT.
