Softball Releases 2025 Schedule
STORRS, Conn. – The UConn softball team released its 2025 schedule on Monday afternoon. The 2025 season will be the 50th anniversary season of the UConn softball program.
Information on season tickets and single-game tickets will become available at a later date.
UConn is coming off its third straight 30 win season under head coach Laura Valentino, a feat not achieved since the mid 1990's. The Huskies finished with a 31-24 overall record and 16-8 record BIG EAST play a season ago. UConn returns the 2024 BIG EAST Player of the Year in Lexi Hastings (Lynchburg, Va.) for her senior season. The Huskies also return all-conference players Rosie Garcia (San Fernando, Calif.), Payton Kinney (Bradenton, Fla.), Grace Jenkins (Folsom, Calif.), and Hope Jenkins (Folsom, Calif.).
UConn will kick off the 2025 season at the Elon Softball Classic starting on February 7, facing Ohio, UNCG, Ohio State, and the host school Elon. The Huskies will also travel to Jacksonville University, the University of Virginia, and Coastal Carolina University for their preseason slate, running through the month of February.
UConn opens BIG EAST play at Villanova March 7-9. The Huskies then go back to out of conference play heading to the University of Tennessee for a three game series with the Volunteers, March 14-16.
UConn's home opener is scheduled for March 21 at Burrill Family Field. The Huskies will welcome four BIG EAST opponents to Storrs for three game sets starting with Seton Hall (March 21-23), Butler (April 4-6), Georgetown (April 25-27), and St. John's (May 2-4).
The Huskies conference road series consists of Villanova, Creighton, Providence, and DePaul.
UConn's midweek schedule contains three teams, Boston College, Boston University, and Fairfield.
