Huskies Wrap Up Regional Championship in Cambridge
CAMBRIDGE, Mass.- UConn women's tennis wrapped up their time at the 2024 ITA Division I Women's New England Regional Championship, hosted by Harvard University this week.
In the Women's Open Singles Draw, Olivia Wright fell in her match in a tightly contested three set contest against Marist College's Viktoria Lorentzon, taking the first set 6-4 before dropping the next two in tiebreakers 7-6 (7-4) and 7-6 (7-4).
In the Women's Open Doubles, the pairing of Isabel Petri Bere and Caroline Hinshaw won their first round match over Siena College 8-4, before dropping their second round match to Dartmouth College, 8-5. On the other side of the double's bracket, Wright and Maria Constantinou won their first round against Colgate 8-4 and lost their second round doubles match against Boston College 8-5.
Up Next: UConn will head to Providence, RI to play in the Brown Invitational from October 18th to October 20th.
