» After winning their first NCAA Tournament game in program history, the UConn men's

hockey team will be facing off against Penn State for their first ever appearance in the

Frozen Four in St. Louis.

» The matchup between the Huskies and Nittany Lions will be the first matchup since

2014 which resulted in a 7-1 win for Penn State.

» The Huskies four lines have produced as of late as Hugh Larkin, Tristan Fraser and

Ethan Gardula contributed to the Huskies win over Quinnpiac.

» Huskies Power Play: Comparing the Huskies Power Play units from last season to this

season the Huskies have a +8 PPG differential and a +9.5% Power Play Percentage dif-

ferential. The Huskies are just one of 7 teams to have surpassed their total PPG numbers

from last season.

» Tabor Heaslip and Tristan Fraser have found their stride as of late. Heaslip has regis-

tered a point in the last three games while Fraser has scored two goals in the last three

games.

» Coming into this season, the Huskies only had one 40 point scorer in the Hockey east

Era. They now have 3 (Joey Muldowney, Hudson Schandor and Jake Richard) follow-

ing the Hockey East Tournament.

» Record Breakers: Hudson Schandor and John Spetz both made UConn history this

season. Schandor surpassed Jachym Kondelik, becoming the leader for total points in

the Hockey East era, while John Spetz surpassed Joe Masonius for most points by a

defenseman in the Hockey East era.

» Record Breakers pt.2 : Hudson Schandor once again inked his name in UConn record

books as he broke the program record for most assists in a single season in the Hockey

East Era. Additionally, Joey Muldowney broke the record for most goals scored in a

single season in the Hockey East Era with 20+ goals. Muldowney passed Tage Thomp-

son who finished the season with 19 goals scored.

» Huskies in the NHL: Marc Gatcomb has become the 9th Husky to reach the pros, hav-

ing most recently been called up by the New York Islanders. Gatcomb joins, Chase

Bradley, Ruslan Iskhakov, Yan Kuznetsov, Todd Krygier, Cole Schneider, Max Letunov,

Adam Huska, and Tage Thompson as former Huskies to make it to the league.
