Huskies Hit the Road for BIG EAST Battle
STORRS, Conn. - The UConn women's tennis team is back in action as they hit the road to travel BIG EAST foe Seton Hall Friday February 7. The match is set to begin at 7pm.
The Huskies are coming off a 1-1 weekend in which they lost a hard-fought battle to Army before bouncing back and dominating St. Bonaventure to finish the weekend strong bringing their overall record to 2-1 for the Spring Season. The Huskies have been strong in doubles action to begin the season, having yet to lose a matchup. UConn is led by the duo of Olivia Wright and Maria Constantinou while Isabel Petrie Bere has been strong for UConn in singles matches.
Seton Hall also enters the matchup 2-1 with wins over St. Joseph's (6-1) and Siena (5-2) and a loss to Princeton (4-0). Like the Huskies, the Pirates have a strong double pairing and will challenge the Huskies.
