Four Huskies Garner BIG EAST Honors
NEW YORK – The UConn men's soccer team had four Huskies earn All-BIG EAST honors on Tuesday afternoon.
Senior forward Scott Testori earned All-BIG EAST honors for a second year in a row, being named to the second team. The Madison, Connecticut native led the Huskies in points for a second straight season, scoring four goals and adding four assists, giving him 12 points to close out his UConn career. Testori made appearances in 17 matches this season for the Huskies, making 16 starts at forward.
A trio of Huskies were named to the All-BIG EAST third team in Kieran Chandler, Sabri Hanni, and Max Kerkvliet.
Sophomore defender Kieran Chandler garners BIG EAST honors for a second consecutive season. Chandler was named Co-Freshman of the Year in 2023 while earning third team honors. The Simsbury, Connecticut native started in all 18 games this season, recording four assists from the left back position.
Redshirt-freshman midfielder Sabri Hanni collects BIG EAST honors in his rookie season. Hanni has netted four goals this season for the Huskies while tallying two assists, giving him ten points. The Paris, France native appeared in all 18 matches for the Huskies, making 17 starts in midfield.
Redshirt-freshman goalkeeper Max Kerkvliet earns All-BIG EAST third team honors to kick off his UConn career. Kerkvliet started every game in net for the Huskies this season, making 57 saves. His eight clean sheets are the most among any freshman goalkeepers in the country. He ranks atop the conference in save percentage at 0.814, which ranks 7th in all of Division I.
