WSOC Drops Road Match Against Creighton
OMAHA - The UConn women's soccer team (7-3-3, 1-2-2 BIG EAST) dropped a road contest 2-1 at Creighton on Sunday afternoon at Morrison Stadium.
The Huskies out shot the Bluejays 15-13 on the day and controlled large stretches of the match.
Creighton took a 1-0 lead on a defensive miscue in the 13th minute.
The Huskies evened the score at the start of the second half on a corner kick opportunity. Sophie McCarthy served the corner kick in and after a touch from Lina Dantes, Chioma Okafor powered home her 11th goal of the season.
It is the fifth-straight game that Okafor has scored in.
The scored remained the same until the Bluejays scored in the 85th minute.
Next up, the Huskies travel to Marquette to take on the Golden Eagles on Sunday, October 13th at 2 p.m. ET
