MSOC Heads to Butler
STORRS, Conn. – The UConn men's soccer team travels to Butler to take on the Bulldogs on Saturday, October 19. Kickoff is set for 7:00pm and will be streamed on FloFC.
UConn (7-2-4) is coming off their fourth scoreless draw this season. The Huskies have struggled on offense recently, not finding the back of the net in three straight matches. On the defensive end, UConn has been strong only conceding two goals in the last six games. The Huskies rank fourth nationally in team goals against average (0.615).
UConn goalkeeper Max Kervliet has six shutouts this season, ranking atop the conference and 6th nationally. The redshirt freshman has a 0.846 save percentage which ranks third in all of Division I.
Butler (3-7-3) is coming into Saturday's match losers in six of their last seven matches. The Bulldogs are coached by Paul Snape, in his 14th season. Butler is led in points this season by junior forward Josemir Gomez with 16, ranking third in the conference. UConn is 0-2 all-time against Butler.
