Arnold Repeats as BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
NEW YORK – Guard KK Arnold was named the BIG EAST Freshman of the Week, as announced by the league Monday.
Arnold claims the honor for the second straight week after averaging 7.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and .462 shooting in a 1-1 week for the Huskies.
The Germantown, Wis., native made her first career start vs. No. 2 UCLA and had 11 points, two rebounds and an assist vs. the Bruins. Arnold had four points and four rebounds in a win over Kansas.
Redshirt junior Paige Bueckers was named to the weekly honor roll for the second straight week after leading the BIG EAST with 26.5 points per game last week.
The 11th-ranked Huskies (4-2) are back in action next Sunday at No. 10 Texas (7-0). The game will air at 3 p.m. on ABC.
