Loren Winn Awarded BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
STORRS, Conn.- Freshman RS Loren Winn has been named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.
In two wins last week over Providence and Butler, Winn had 22 kills, 9 digs, and 6 blocks overall. The freshman from Dallas poured in 13 kills against Butler on Saturday, hitting at a impressive percentage of .647
MB Taylor Pannell (Middletown, N.Y) was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll averaging 3.57 kills, 1.29 blocks, and 0.57 aces per set with UConn securing two wins this weekend.
The Huskies are back in action on Friday night on the road against Seton Hall.
