Field Hockey Awarded NFHCA MidEast Coaching Staff of the Year
STORRS, Conn. - Field Head Coach Paul Caddy, Associate Head Coach Sarah Mansfield-Lahl, Assistant Coach Chrissy Davidson Arisco, and Volunteer Coach Nancy Stevens have been named the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Mideast Region Coaching Staff of the Year.
The UConn coaching staff has added another trophy to the collection, as they have been named the NFHCA Mideast region, Coaching Staff of the Year. This is in addition to being named BIG EAST Coaching Staff of the year for the 2024 season.
Head coach Paul Caddy and staff led the Huskies to a 17-4 record, a 9-1 record at home, secured the programs 21 BIG EAST regular season and tournament championships, and led the Huskies back to the NCAA tournament after a four-year hiatus. The staff also coached, six players who made NFHCA All-Region, the BIG EAST Freshman, Offensive player, midfielder and Goalkeeper of the Year.

Alex Karaban scored 21 points to lead all players, including a pair of 3-pointers in the final 2:30 to hold Butler at bay. The win was UConn's sixth-straight and second in a row to open conference play.
