» The Huskies turn their attention to a two game series vs. Merrimack College beginning
Friday November 8 at Merrimack. The Huskies will then welcome the Warriors to the
Toscano Family Ice Forum on Nov.9.
» The Huskies are coming off a 1-1 weekend against the Unviersity of Vermont. Both
games went into overtime with the Huskies winning game two by a final of 6-5.
» In the Huskies 6-5 win over Vermont, the freshman fueled the Huskies. Ethan Gardual
scored 2 goals and one assist, while Kaden Shahan and Ethan Whitcomb both pitched in
a goal. While Kai Janviriya and Trey Scott both added assists.
» The Jake's: Junior Jake Percival and sophomore Jake Richard have made their presence
felt early in the season. The Jake's currently lead the team with a combined 17 points.
Jake Percival has 6 goals and 2 assists for 8 points, while Jake Richard has 4 goals and 5
assists for 9 points.
» The Huskies have received a point from 20 total skaters. Of the 20, 8 are new members
of the Ice Bus.
» Five on Five Hockey has been a strength for the Huskies as they have scored 22 of their
30 total goals.
» GOALIE OF THE WEEK: Junior Tyler Muszelik was named Hockey East Goalie of
the Week following his performance against no.15 Massachusetts. Muszelik finished the
weekend 1-0-1 making 57 total saves.
» PLAYER OF THE MONTH: For his efforts and success in October, Junior Jake Per-
cival was araded Hockey East Player of the Month. Percival finished the month with
6 goals and 2 assists for 8 points. Of Percival's 6 goals, two of them have come short
handed.
» Despite adding 14 new faces, in that group comes 4 transfers from NCAA D1 schools.
Hugh Larkin joins UConn from Western Michigan, Nick Carabin joins the Huskies from
Princeton, Tyler Muszelik from New Hampshire, and Viking Gustafsson Nyberg comes
from Northern Michigan.
» Huskies in the NHL: Ruslan Iskhakov and Yan Kuznetsov became the 6th and 7th
Huskies to reach the pros, having most recently been called up by the New York Island-
ers and Calgary Flames. They join, Todd Krygier, Cole Schneider, Max Letunov, Adam
Huska, and Tage Thompson as former Huskies to make it to the league.
