Seven UConn Alums to Compete in Inaugural Unrivaled Season
MIAMI – Seven former members of the UConn women's basketball team will compete in the inaugural season of Unrivaled, a new 3-on-3 pro basketball league, beginning Friday.
Founded by UConn alumnae Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier, Unrivaled is a groundbreaking professional sports venture that will offer the highest average salary in women's professional sports league history.
Unrivaled features six clubs (Laces, Lunar Owls, Mist, Phantom, Rose, Vinyl) with six players per roster. Games will be played on a condensed full court with three seven-minute quarters followed by a fourth quarter played under "winning score". The winning score will be determined by adding 11 points to the leading team's score and the first team to reach that total wins the game.
All games in the 2025 season will be played at the new Wayfair Arena in Miami. The season will run Jan. 17-March 17.
Stewart is team captain for the Mist while Collier is captain for the Owls. Tiffany Hayes and Stefanie Dolson are members of the Laces. Katie Lou Samuelson is on the Phantom, Azurá Stevens is on the Rose and Aaliyah Edwards is teammates with Stewart on the Mist.
The inaugural season kicks off tonight with Mist vs. Lunar Owls at 7 p.m. followed by Rose vs. Vinyl at 8 p.m. The full schedule can be found HERE.
Unrivaled games will air on TNT Sports and TruTV and all games will be streamed on Max.
