STORRS, Conn. – After being named the 2024 BIG EAST Champions and earning an automatic bid into the 2024 NCAA Tournament, the UConn Huskies have been named the no.3 overall seed and will host the first two rounds of the tournament.
The Huskies will play host to Massachusetts, Harvard and Syracuse for the opening rounds of the 2024 NCAA. UConn will be matched up against UMass while Harvard and Syracuse will face off in the other opening round game. The two winners will then face off to advance.
UConn and Massachusetts already faced off once this year, with the Huskies coming away with a hard fought 1-0 victory. The lone goal of the game was from Julia Bressler on a penalty stroke with 52 seconds remaining in the third quarter.
